Cormorant Engineering was founded by Ken Newman, P.E. in 2008. The team consists of industry professionals and specialists with many years of combined experience.

 

 

Leadership:

 

 

Ken Newman

Ken is the founder of Cormorant Engineering; which develops and markets hydraulically operated gas well dewatering systems. Ken Newman was also the founder of NOV CTES which is a leading provider of modeling software, data acquisition systems and specialized sensors for the well intervention industry. Ken has authored many technical papers, magazine articles, and patents. He holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.

David Bolt

Vice President of Cormorant Engineering, bringing more than 35 years of experience in hydraulics and fluid power systems. David also has extensive senior level management and leadership experience as, Principal Engineer, Vice President of Engineering, and General Management. Possessing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, a graduate degree in Electromechanical Systems, and more than 15 patents..

Travis Bolt

Vice President of Operations for Cormorant Engineering, Travis has more than 10 years of experience in operations and project management. Travis possesses an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, with a Marketing and Finance focus, and Travis has a Masters Degree in Business Administration, MBA. Travis’ broad range of technical skills provides a tremendous basis for leading the Cormorant Engineering Operations team.
